Advocacy: Your National Voice
AACC has forged effective relationships on Capitol Hill and with the White House and key federal agencies, as well as with prominent businesses and the news media. Through those relationships, AACC keeps community colleges in the spotlight, increasing awareness of their value, and fighting for resources and programs critical to member colleges and their students. Within the larger higher education community, AACC speaks for community colleges and promotes their interests.
Strong and informed leaders are essential to institutional success. Each year, AACC offers a wide range of professional development opportunities to prepare, inform, and connect current and future community college leaders. Whether it’s the large-scale AACC Annual Convention that brings together nearly 2,000 people from the U.S. and abroad, the more focused Presidents Academy Summer Institute, or the Future Leaders and Future Presidents Institutes. AACC is working to maintain the strong cadre of leaders in the nation’s 2-year institutions.
