Quote from the President
“We must develop an active dialogue and integrated partnership between education and business like we’ve never seen before. Together, we have to define the skills needed for tomorrow’s jobs, chart career pathways in major industry sectors marked by discrete learning milestones and credentials, and strengthen the system with tuition assistance, workplace learning, and flexible transitions. We’re already on the way. Columbus State has engaged employers in key industries like IT, health care, insurance, and logistics to begin this dialogue."
- Columbus State Community College and The Ohio State University have partnered to develop The Preferred Pathway Program. This unique transfer program guarantees qualifying students in dozens of degree programs automatic admission to Ohio State after completing an associate degree.
- Each year in late summer, CSCC and the Columbus State Foundation, hold the Taste the Future culinary event. Dozens of area restaurants take part in the $100-per-ticket social. All proceeds go directly to student scholarships. It has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years.
- CSCC was the only public institution of higher learning in Ohio to freeze its annual tuition at $3,555 from 2006–2011.
