AACC Advocates in Action
June 12-13, 2017
Join community college leaders in the nation’s capital to advocate for the federal community college agenda – to preserve and expand funding for key programs such as Pell Grants, improve the Higher Education and Carl Perkins Acts, and shape infrastructure and tax policies. Participate in interactive sessions with key executive branch officials and senior Congressional staff.
Community colleges and students need you to make your voice heard on Capitol Hill at this critical time.
In addition to the joint advocacy effort, briefing topics will include:
- Assessing the new political landscape
- Separating fact from fiction in federal budget priorities and politics
- Understanding how members of Congress view your institution
Featured high-level speakers will share insights about current dynamics and issues surrounding key legislation. The meeting also will offer networking opportunities with members of AACC’s Advocacy Advisory Group and other community college leaders.
For more information about the program, review the agenda.
The registration fee is $195 for this program. A discount is available for additional registrants from the same institution.
Make your hotel reservations at the Embassy Row Hotel before the special AACC Advocates in Action rate of $215 per night (single or double) expires on May 20.
