College Brain Trust
College Brain Trust (CBT) is a national community college consulting firm headed by Dr. George Boggs that has provided a wide variety of consulting services to 45 community colleges in California, Idaho, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New York, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming, Washington, D.C., and the Northern Mariana Islands. CBT’s core values are innovation, collegiality, and an ability to respond to the unique challenges specific to each client college.

Community College/Career Collaboration
The Community College/Career Collaboration (C4) project, run by AACC and Goodwill Industries International, Inc., increases college and career success for low-income adults by documenting, promoting, and replicating successful models throughout Goodwill and community college networks. The project promotes college completion through programs and services for low-income adults, including college readiness, skills training, and advancement.

Council for Adult and Experiential Learning
In the Maps to Credentials project, funded by the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) and the U.S. Department of Education, three community college partners are designing and piloting credential road maps in select degree and certificate programs to accelerate postsecondary attainment through effective integration of comprehensive prior learning assessment methods. The project is focusing initially on military veterans, a population with college-level skills, and knowledge gained through military service that are essential to the country’s workforce.

CMT (Country Music Television), a unit of Viacom, Inc., launched a new pro-social initiative, CMT EMPOWERING EDUCATION, that challenges CMT viewers to pursue postsecondary education. CMT created a one-stop resource providing information on schools, career paths, motivation, and financial resources. CMT has recruited some of music’s biggest names to motivate and inspire viewers with their own education stories, including Carrie Underwood, Dierks Bentley, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan, who are all featured on the site.

Economic Modeling Specialists International
For the past 12 years, Economic Modeling Specialists International (EMSI) has been providing comprehensive
economic impact studies for colleges and universities in the United States and internationally. EMSI also provides high-quality labor market data and analysis, which are used by higher education institutions to better align education and employment for any geography. In 2012, EMSI joined forces with CareerBuilder with the goal to develop stronger data-focused products to help businesses, job-seekers, and higher education institutions get a better handle on the labor market and career opportunities.

Michigan State University’s International Business Center is a federally funded national resource center. The center strives to provide superior education, research, and assistance to businesses, public policymakers, academicians, and students on issues relating to international trade and global competitiveness through projects such as globalEDGE.msu. edu and the International Business Institute for Community College Faculty.

The NanoProfessor™ Nanoscience Education Program aims to address the growing need for a skilled workforce knowledgeable and experienced in working at the nanoscale by expanding hands-on nanotechnology education from the clean rooms of research-based universities to undergraduate classrooms. The NanoProfessor Program alternates between classroom lectures based upon a textbook authored by leading nanotechnology experts; and hands-on lab experiments utilizing state-of-the-art instrumentation that provide students the knowledge
and experience to build custom-engineered nanoscale structures. National Apartment Association Education Institute

National Coalition of Advanced Technology Centers
The National Coalition of Advanced Technology Centers (NCATC) is a network of higher education resources that advocates and promotes the use of technology applications that enhance economic and workforce development programs and services.

National Coalition of Certification Centers
The National Coalition of Certification Centers (NC3) was established to address the need for strong industry partnerships with educational institutions to develop, implement, and sustain industry-recognized portable certifications that have strong validation and assessment standards.

National Council for Continuing Education and Training
The National Council for Continuing Education and Training (NCCET) is committed to providing its members with benefits that keep them up-to-date on new trends, help maintain a personal and professional network, and give access to the latest leading-edge programs throughout the country. NCCET is the premier resource for professionals in continuing education, training, and workforce and economic development. The council is committed to continuous quality improvement and to quality service as a change agent for lifelong learning.

National Institute of Standards and Technology–Hollings
Manufacturing Extension Partnership The National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership (NIST-MEP) works with small and midsize U.S. manufacturers to help create and retain jobs, increase profits, and save time and money. The nationwide network provides a variety of services, from innovation strategies to process improvements to green manufacturing. MEP also works with partners at the state and federal levels on programs that put manufacturers in positions to develop new customers, expand into new markets, and create new products.

National Partnership for Environmental Technology Education
The National Partnership for Environmental Technology Education (PETE) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that helps facilitate partnerships with education institutions, industry, and government. Serving the 50 states, tribal nations, U.S. territories, and insular areas, the PETE network includes more than 400 community, tribal, and technical colleges, representing one third of America’s 2-year institutions.

It builds and reinforces self-confidence, work attitudes, and communications skills through its partnerships with more than 1,100 business, industry, and labor sponsors.

The Building a Green Workforce: Charting a Course for Community Colleges initiative advances sustainability

Serving as an online agent for job-seekers, VCN provides access to everything a person needs to prepare for
a healthcare career. It allows users to set up a career management account and store career preferences and information. In addition, users can find national and local information about healthcare careers and see job listings in their area. VCN tools help users take control of their future!
