North Shore Community College (NSCC) is committed to preparing students for the challenges of living and working in a global economy and to providing a competent workforce for the north of Boston region. NSCC is one of the oldest and largest of the 15 Massachusetts community colleges. The College serves 26 cities and towns along the coastal region of north metropolitan Boston to Cape Ann. Since its founding in 1965, NSCC has grown from a single building to three campuses, and from five to nearly 90 academic programs of study. The college has an urban campus in downtown Lynn, a suburban campus in Danvers, and houses a workforce training and community education center in Beverly. The College offers a twenty-first century curriculum that balances liberal arts and career education delivered through a variety of instructional methods.
NSCC delivers post-secondary education to 11,000 credit students in an academic year, and an additional 5,000 noncredit/workforce development students. The college is a catalyst for personal, community and regional change through education, training and civic engagement and serves as a beacon of hope and opportunity for an increasingly diverse student body. Over 27,000 students have graduated from NSCC.
North Shore Community College is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, Inc., through its Commission on Institutions of Higher Education.
