Onondaga Community College, an innovative two-year institution of nearly 13,000 learners located in Upstate New York, is seeking a Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Development. Reporting to the College President, the Vice President is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the College’s strategic enrollment management (SEM) plan and for providing leadership to ensure that enrollment goals established in the SEM plan are achieved. In addition, the Vice President leads the functional areas associated with advising, K-12 college readiness, and seamless transfer, as well as the areas of Student Development that include counseling, student activities, judicial affairs, testing services, international student services, disability services and veteran’s services. Qualifications for the position include proven expertise in Strategic Enrollment Management and experience within student development; experience in strategic and operational planning, budgeting and supervision of subordinate managers and their staff; and an understanding and appreciation of the unique challenges of student enrollment and persistence in a community college setting. Significant experience in a leadership and managerial role in a higher education setting is required. A doctoral degree is preferred.
