OBJECTIVE: The campus president acts as a visionary leader for Blinn College on the Brazos County campuses and is responsible for the direction, management, development, planning, and control of broad activities needed to ensure all Brazos campus operations are successful. The campus president drives the organizational objectives to ensure financial and educational success through short and long range planning and action. Responsible for creating an environment that engages staff, creates quality education and administrative processes, broad growth and predictable financial performance. The campus president supports the values, goals and educational programs of the college
ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Serves as the chief operating officer for Brazos County Campuses, providing administrative leadership, oversight and coordination to carry out the effective and efficient operations.
Serves as a member of the college executive committee and other committees/councils as assigned. Represents the Brazos County Campuses at all board meetings, professional meetings, conferences and appropriate local community activities.
Serves as a primary contact for all Brazos County community and university partnerships, in conjunction with the District President and appropriate vice presidents.
Promotes cooperative relationships with area public schools, political entities, chambers of commerce, and other community groups.
Serves as liaison with Marketing and Public relations initiatives for Brazos County Campuses.
Works in collaboration with appropriate Vice Presidents and Deans to support the college mission and goals.
Works in collaboration with the CFO/Senior VP Finance & Admin Services in the development and implementation of annual campus budgets, supervises expenditures and maintain fiscal control .
Ensures compliance with documented and comprehensive, quality, regulatory and accreditation programs.
Ensures continuous improvement of key educational and administrative processes to improve financial results and educational excellence through demonstrated discipline and consistency.
Ensures adherence to legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the campus to include district policies, Federal, State, Local rules and regulations.
Coordinates with the District President on all community relations and public service activities.
Serve as a role model, leader and mentor to the campus community.
Builds a learning community that supports a positive environment for students, faculty and staff.
Performs other related tasks as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Master’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
Five years of proven successful administrative experience.
Five years of proven Marketing and Public Relations experience.
Excellent communicator, with highly developed oral and written skills.
Excellent listening and communication skills with the experience and temperament to foster a cooperative, caring, inclusive learning environment for faculty, students and staff.
Experience and proven ability to promote excellent business and community relationships.
Demonstrated leadership skills in creating a team-oriented culture.
Ability to lead people and facilitate administrative processes, embrace change and deliver results.Ability to effectively establish and maintain positive working relationships with students, faculty, staff, administration, the general public, the business and professional communities, and administrators of other colleges
Knowledge of SACS accreditation requirements.
Knowledge of Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board policies and procedures.
