The American Association of Community Colleges seeks an individual to oversee the accounting/financial reporting functions and establish & maintain internal financial controls. Responsibilities include generating monthly financial reports, managing & mentoring two professional staff, working with internal and external constituencies to complete audits, and establishing policies & procedures. Qualified candidates must have a BS in accounting and five to seven years of senior non-profit financial management experience. Requires a demonstrated ability to lead others and manage multiple financial & accounting functions. Must also have a strong knowledge of GAAP and excellent customer service skills. CPA and/or advanced business degree, as well as knowledge of federal financial accounting & reporting procedures, are preferred.
