HACC seeks an enthusiastic, experienced professional to join the College as the new Associate Provost, Workforce Development. Reporting to the Provost, the Associate Provost coordinates the administrative offices supporting the workforce function and provides leadership and supervision to the programmatic offerings of the department as well as to faculty and academic administration in planning curriculum and developing, reviewing, and implementing programs. The Associate Provost will support the “one-college concept,” which is instrumental in ensuring a positive working relationship between the Office of Workforce Development and other academic and operational departments.
Qualifications: A master’s degree in business, education, or a related field and five years progressively responsible experience related to workforce development, including management or administrative experience in a corporate or higher education setting, is strongly preferred; however, candidates with an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job will also be considered. Experience in sales and marketing is crucial. In addition, the successful candidate will possess:
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and leadership models and techniques.
• Experience in supervising staff and developing talent on a team.
• Experience in building effective collaborative initiatives to deliver corporate education and/or business services.
• A high level of analytical, written, and presentation skills.
• Experience in budget management and achieving revenue targets.
• Demonstrated expertise in organizational development, project planning, and implementation.
• Experience delivering oral and/or written presentations to key strategic internal and external stakeholders.
