East Central College is currently accepting applications for the position of Vice President, Student Development. The position is responsible for the oversight and supervision of Admissions and Recruiting, Registration, Financial Aid, Advising and Counseling, Library, Student Activities, and Athletics. Position reports to the President.
•Supervise all personnel assigned, recommending selection, retention, promotion and termination as appropriate.
•Responsible for planning, designing and overseeing the implementation of policies and projects for assigned departments
•Serve as institutional compliance coordinator for federal student related laws and regulations, including Title VI, Title IX, Section 504 & ADA
•Administer matters pertaining to student appeals regarding academic suspension, financial aid, tuition & fees, & disciplinary issues.
•Leading the college’s Behavioral Intervention Team, addressing individual student’s mental health needs and supporting campus safety
•Serve as the college transfer and articulation officer for the MO Dept of Higher Education.
•Participate in the preparation and evaluation of the college catalog, student handbook and other publications.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: (A comparable amount of training, education or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.)
• Completion of Master’s degree in counseling, psychology, student services or related field.
•3 to 5 years’ progressively responsible administrative leadership in higher education, including budget management required.
•Community college experience preferred.
