The Executive Director works to advance the Florida State College Foundation by establishing new philanthropic support, maintaining existing donor relationships and stewarding the Foundation’s financial and other assets. The selected candidate will:
Increase community awareness of the Florida State College Foundation and its mission by representing the Foundation with integrity.
Steward the financial resources of the Foundation and manage other assets responsibly.
Establish and maintain long-term, high trust relationships with potential and current donors.
Enlarge the philanthropic support available from the Foundation by increasing annual giving, endowments, underwritten scholarships, as well as gifts of securities, real estate and in-kind services.
Implement long-range leadership strategies that foster an innovative, cohesive and progressive Foundation culture.
Engage in continual clear and open communication with the Foundation Board and Vice President for Institutional Advancement regarding objectives, expectations and emerging issues.
Make strategic recommendation for the employment, termination or internal reassignment of staff involved with the generation of Foundation funds.
Prioritize initiatives to meet annual income goals to assure that sufficient funds are appropriately distributed among specified scholarship programs.
Take a collaborative role in driving a cooperative process with the Board of Directors, staff, and members of the College community that would result in development of goals, objectives, and operational plans for the enhanced support of the College's mission.
Perform other professional and administrative duties as required.
At a minimum the selected candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution supplemented by three (3) years of related experience. The preferred candidate will have a Master's degree in Business Administration or related field from an accredited institution and eight (8) years of successful leadership in an educational or non-profit environment or private enterprise. Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) designation, continuing education in fund raising.
