AACC's Office of International Programs and Services supports the global competitiveness of U.S. community colleges by promoting global awareness, intercultural understanding, and international engagement for students, faculty, staff, and administrators, and through advocacy with U.S. federal agencies, higher education associations, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, and international partners.
The goals of AACC's Office of International Programs and Services are:
- To assist community colleges in promoting global awareness, responsibility, intercultural understanding, and engagement among students, faculty, staff, and decision makers.
- To raise the recognition of the community college role in global education among key constituencies, nationally and internationally.
