 Statement to the House Committee on Ways and Means Working Group on Education and Family Benefits

AACC’s general approach to higher education tax policy is that the code should facilitate the ability of students and families to avail themselves of the broad array of choices in higher education, but priority should be given to low-income students. This is for the simple reason that low-income students are less likely to attend college and even less likely to graduate.
