The application process for the Deferred Action Initiative began on August 15, 2012. This new initiative stops deportations and grants temporary immigration relief to certain undocumented young immigrants and the potential ability to work legally in this country. The Community College Consortium for Immigrant Education has prepared a one-page toolkit of resources and recommendations to help educators launch effective outreach campaigns and prepare their staff to assist current and prospective students.
