AACC is proud to partner on the Mentor-Connect project designed to provide mentors, faculty development, and resources to help community colleges benefit from the National Science Foundation’s Advanced Technological Education program. If your college has not received NSF grant funding in the past 10 years, has a need to develop or strengthen STEM technician education programs, could benefit from improved leadership skills among STEM faculty, and would like assistance in preparing a competitive grant proposal for NSF’s ATE program—then Mentor-Connect is for you!
Colleges are invited to apply to attend a technical assistance workshop in January 2013 to receive instruction and mentoring in grant writing, project management, and leadership development. An assigned mentor will continue to work with selected colleges through the October 17, 2013 NSF ATE proposal submission deadline. Faculty participants are eligible for financial support for travel expenses to attend the Mentor-Connect Technical Assistance Workshop.
